| About the year of the postcard |

postcardwall celebrated 2015 as the year of the postcard.

To celebrate reaching 365 postcards on the wall, Sophie re-released a postcard for every day of 2015 on twitter, together with artlyst. The postcards, together with their words, also popped up in several exhibitions all over London throughout the year.

Medleys of the collection appeared in cafés and spaces all over London, culminating in an exhibition of all 365 in Stour Space, Hackney Wick for the month of September. The 365 exhibition was accompanied by new artworks from a selection of contemporary featured postcard artists, showing the evolution of their work since.

365 @ Stour Space
4 – 28 September 2015

365 @ Stour Space celebrates postcardwall reaching 365 postcards ‘on the wall’ – one for every day of the year. The entire collection will be exhibited, all with their legend – words written by Sophie Hill to entice the viewer into the images that map her journey through art.

Hill has also invited a selection of artists who have postcards in the collection to exhibit a piece of work alongside, showing an evolution of work as well creating conversations between the artwork and the image we take home. Artists Robina DoxiDickon DruryKatie ElderFrancisca PrietoDolores de Sade and Eleanor Watson joined the postcards at canal-side Stour Space in Hackney Wick for the month of September. All artwork for sale.
